Martin Lane

Martin Lane is a fun, high-energy, acoustic duo, specializing in classic rock and 90’s country songs.  Comprised of Nashville recording artist and singer songwriter, Laura Lane, and Nashville producer, musician & singer songwriter, Chip Martin, they have been touring extensively throughout the Southeast for the past three years l. They recently completed a Florida residency with Merlin Entertainments.

Laura grew up in a small farm community in Northeast Mississippi. Her musical training began at the age of 8 with piano lessons from her grandmother.  Growing up she was in 4-H talent shows, piano recitals and guilds and Gifted Music classes at her high school.  She formed a band with friends but upon graduation, they disbanded going to different colleges. In 2005, she joined a church Praise Team and was part of the children’s worship ministry.  In 2017, she began performing as a duo.  She released a hymns CD and an EP of original songs in early 2020.  Her original songs are being played on various radio stations in Tennessee, Florida and Colorado.

Chip grew up in Virginia Beach, VA.  He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and has been a lifelong musician, touring with many bands including Orleans (“Still the One” and “Dance with Me.”) Additionally, Chip was a Nashville producer for over twenty years.  He is also a prolific songwriter. His songs have been recorded by many bands and artists including Orleans, Randy Meisner (formerly of The Eagles,) The Little River Band and Billy Dean.  He has a gold record for a song Mark Wills recorded.
