Welcome to the 2024 Walton County Fair! We’re celebrating our 100th Anniversary this year from October 14-19 with an exciting lineup of events, competitions, and entertainment. From livestock shows to live performances, there’s something for everyone. Below, you’ll find the full schedule for each day of the fair, including times for special events, ride information, and more.

To make your visit more convenient, shuttle service will be available from Monday, October 14 to Friday, October 18 between 5 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The shuttles will pick up at the DeFuniak Springs Civic Center and the Walton County Health Department, and drop you off at the Walton County Fairgrounds. Free parking will be available at the shuttle stops, and there will be tents set up for fairgoers to wait comfortably for the shuttle.
Sunday, October 13, 2024 – Pre-Fair Day
(No public entry; setup day)
- 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Poultry and Rabbit entries.
- 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Swine entries.
- 4:00 PM: Poultry and Rabbit judging.
Monday, October 14, 2024 – 100th Anniversary Opening Day & Military Appreciation Night
- 1:00 PM: Ribbon cutting for the 100th Anniversary (Main Entrance).
- 5:00 PM: Gates open.
- 5:00 PM: Military Appreciation Night (Veterans with ID get in free).
- 6:00 PM: Barn Dedication (Arena).
- 6:00 PM: Kiera Howell performs on stage (Main Room).
- 9:00 PM: Gates close.
Admission: $5 for adults, free for kids 4 and under, free for veterans with ID.
Armbands: $20 for unlimited midway rides.
- 5:00 PM: Gates open.
- 5:30 PM: Performances by West DeFuniak and Maude Saunders Elementary Schools (Main Room).
- 6:00 PM: Martin Lane performs live on stage (Main Room).
- 6:00 PM: Youth Hog Show (Arena).
- 9:00 PM: Gates close.
Admission: $5 for adults, free for kids 4 and under.
Armbands: $20 for unlimited midway rides.
Wednesday, October 16, 2024 – Elementary Choir & Youth Rabbit and Poultry Showmanship
- 5:00 PM: Gates open.
- 5:30 PM: Performances by Freeport and Mossy Head Elementary Schools (Main Room).
- 6:00 PM: Andy Avery performs live on stage (Main Room).
- 6:00 PM: Youth Rabbit and Poultry Showmanship (Arena).
- 9:00 PM: Gates close.
Admission: $5 for adults, free for kids 4 and under.
Armbands: $20 for unlimited midway rides.
- 5:00 PM: Gates open.
- 6:00 PM: Think Pink Night with the Walton County Health Department and Cancer Freeze (Main Room).
- 6:00 PM: Hog Buyer’s Dinner (Extension Office).
- 7:00 PM: Hog Auction (Arena).
- 9:00 PM: Gates close.

Saturday, October 19, 2024 – Final Day: Youth Beef Show, Performances, and New Heights Wrestling
- 12:00 PM: Gates open.
- 1:00 PM: Youth Beef Show (Arena).
- 4:00 PM: Midway shuts down for state inspection and maintenance (armbands expire).
- 6:00 PM: Midway resumes with a new armband required.
- 6:00 PM: Maddox Davidson performs live on stage (Main Room).
- 7:00 PM: Brant McCollough performs live on stage (Main Room).
- 7:00 PM: New Heights Wrestling (Arena, additional charge).
- 9:30 PM: Gates close for the final day.
Admission: $5 for adults, free for kids 4 and under.
Armbands:
- $18 for matinee (12 PM – 4 PM).
- $20 for evening (after 6 PM; new armband required).
Sunday, October 20, 2024 – Item Pick-Up Day
(No public entry; pickup day for participants and exhibitors)
- 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Item pick-up for poultry, rabbits, Creative Living, Agriculture, and Home Arts entries.
